HORRIBLE
Horrible food. DIRTY place. BAD SERVICE.
everything tasted the same..UNHEALTHY AND FULL OF CREAM couldnt even taste the masala because my mouth was full of cream.
other indian restaurants are better.

Awesome Indian by Indie B. at InsiderPages
We first sampled Clay Pit at Addison's annual wine tasting and fell in love with it. We were even happier that the dine-in experience was delicious and entertaining. There is live music some nights, and the wait staff is very friendly.

Really good Indian food
If we lived closer we would eat here weekly. The food is amazing I like to try something new everytime we go. Ask the staff for suggestions.

When in India...
This is the best place for Indian food by far that we have tried. When you go in and see 90% of the restaurant filled with folks from India, you know it must be good, and it is. All of the entrees are deliciously prepared and the atmosphere is lovely. The service is attentive and the waitstaff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to ordering food. My husband and I went there for New Year's Eve dinner and had no trouble at all getting in! Plus, they didn't force you to buy an over-priced "New Year's Dinner" for two, so I totally appreciated that. All in all, we loved the experience and go there as much as we can.

Good Indian food
I'm not a huge Indian food fan, but I like it once in a while. I was very satisfied with Clay Pit's lunch buffet. Lots of choices, good quality, good price.

Good food great atmospher
The food is creative indian- traditional dishes with a twist. The drinks are yummy too. Mango margarita is a must try. The atmospher is very cool! Service is good.

unhygienic, poor service
We found a hair in our foodTo add to that when we mentioned that to the person serving the food..he told us he can assure us it's not his for sure and then when we returned the entree we were left with bill on our table without any replacement of the ordered itemindeed *Professional..Thank God we still have multiple Indian restaurants in dallas area to decide which ones to avoid next time..

Great Indian food. I would say its the best in Addison, and I will be back. You can even sit outside on the deck!

My first Lunch here, left me lacking..........
I have read many favorable/highly rated reviews for the Clay Pit before; however, I think they were primarily for the dinner. I took a friend here for lunch about two weeks ago. They had never tried Indian cuisine before, and I thought it would be a great introduction. Although the lunch was ok, it was just that?.ok. It was not bad; it just was not very good. Many of the dishes lacked the distinct seasoning that make Indian cuisine such a treat.
Again, this was lunch. Their dinner entree?s could be spectacular, or I may have come on an off day. I am going to try the Clay Pit again and will let you know. If you are in Addison and have an insatiable desire for Indian (based on my first encounter), Clay Pit will fit the bill.
