Perfect place to buy & sell books
Love this place! Never have to wait long when I'm selling books & magazines. Always a great selection and staff doesn't mind answering questions or offering suggestion.

for those who love to read... this is great! by Sarah S. at InsiderPages
I enjoy reading in my free time and it gets expensive to go to the larger retail stores. This is a great place to pick up all kinds of books at a much better price. You can get books for fun and also books to for travel and hobbies. I would recommend trying this store before you go anywhere else. The workers seem to know the layout and material in the store and can point you in the right direction!
PROS: helpful staff and great prices CONS:

Used books by N. R. at InsiderPages
This Half Price Books is much like the others in the Metroplex, although each varies in the strength of their collections. This HBP has a smaller music selection than many of the others, but I've always had luck finding some good science-fiction books here and, oddly enough, poetry. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the bookstore is much more organized than it used to be, although it's not nearly as spacious as the flagship store.

Half Price Books by Mary Ashley W. at InsiderPages
This is the remedy to the monopoly campus bookstores. You can get your books a lot cheaper by visting Half Price Books. They stand by their name because the books are really cheap. The people that work there are also very helpful and friendly.

Book Store by Jane M. at InsiderPages
Half Price Books is an excellent place to purchase used inexpensive books, magazines, or records. They usually have a WIDE variety of books, etc, and will help you find the particular book you are looking for. The price great especially when you are on a budget! Occasionally you might even find some movies or dvds.

Tons of books by Amy P. at InsiderPages
Every time I go into this store I find something unique and exceptional. Everything from the latest best-seller to cookbooks, from poetry to self-help, from children's books to romance, from audio books to music cds to movies are available for 50% off the cover price.
Another great thing about the store is the ability to help support an expensive book habit by selling back titles you're done with. Clearly, to keep the profit-margin in the black, they don't pay much for most books. Unique or hard-to-find titles might be more likely to put a few dollars in your pocket - paperback best-sellers are more available and so less in-demand by the store. Usually, if I take in a box of books, I'll expect to get back $5 to $20 depending on what I'm trading in.
PROS: Great prices - huge selection CONS: Limited to what's on the shelf
